Vanbros Photoshoot weekend :)

This past weekend our Vanbros family got to get together for the weekend photoshoot! Sydnee and I got to share the same day shoot with Miss Kansas USA and Miss Kansas Teen USA and we loved getting to spend time with them :)

The weekend would not have been the same without our dream team consisting of our stylist, Kim Forsyth, our make-up artist, Lisa Proctor, our amazing hair stylist, Bryan Wood, and Brent Peterson with hair extensions. Huge thank you to this wonderful group of people for making us beautiful for the shoot!

I can't wait to see how all of my photos turn out and will keep you posted :) :) :)

Veteran's Hospital National Salute Week

Sydnee and I really enjoyed visiting the Veteran's Hospital today in Columbia. Every year around Valentine's Day the hospital holds their annual National Salute Week where groups come to visit and bring special Valentine's Day cards :)

A couple of the WWII Veteran's had some amazing stories that they shared with us.

These Veterans risked their lives serving our country and visiting them just to bring a smile to their faces is the very least we could do. Thank you to all of the men and women serving in the armed forces, we appreciate all that you have done. 

Fashion Show Benefit :)

Last night I got to participate in the Onen Pro Fashion Show Extravaganza benefitting the Breast Cancer Foundation of the Ozarks. Such a fun event to be a part of and a wonderful foundation to help.

The Pythian Castle was such a neat venue. Originally built in 1913 by the Knights of Pythias and later owned by the US military for over 50 years... this certified haunted castle has been renovated and now open to the public. 

I had the honor of meeting Hall of Fame and former Chiefs player, Neil Smith. He even let me try on his championship ring haha :)

All of the models in the runway show did such an amazing job. It is amazing how many people and sponsors came together to pull off this fantastic event.

I had the honor of speaking to the Rotary Club in Jefferson City today. This group is comprised of some of the most accomplished people I have met and many community leaders that I have always looked up to.

 

I had a chance to speak with the Honorable Mary R. Russell, who has always been an inspiration to me.

I look forward to joining the Rotary Club's effort to make our community a better place.

Picking my gown for Miss USA :)

This week I went to Kansas City to meet with my director, John. We had a wonderful meeting and then made our way to Sassy Chic Boutique to finalize my gown decision for Miss USA!

I had been looking forward to this day and making my decision for a very long time. Ashley Litton and Danielle Bounds are fantastic to work with.

I am so excited for everyone to see the dress I have chosen!!! :) Looking forward to more great trips to KC! Thanks Ashley, Danielle, and John!
